Are you local to Aventura?

Yes. Our studio is in Fort Lauderdale, about twenty minutes up Biscayne Boulevard, and Aventura sits squarely inside the stretch of coast we work every week. One of the studio's signature residences, Aventura Modern Living, is here. We walk the site ourselves through design, construction, and installation, so when a question comes up on the job we are in the building the same day, not on a call.

Which parts of Aventura do you work in?

The towers along Country Club Drive and the Intracoastal, the gated island communities like Williams Island and Island Estates, Porto Vita, and the single family enclaves tucked behind the waterways. A high floor condominium and an island house make very different demands on an interior, so every project starts from the specific property rather than a house style we repeat.

Can you renovate inside a condominium? Our building has rules.

Yes, it is routine work for us. Aventura buildings typically want drawings and specifications approved before a renovation starts, and set work hours, service elevator reservations, insurance requirements, and sound attenuation standards for the job itself. We build the association submission into the design schedule from the first meeting and coordinate with your contractor so approval happens once rather than across rounds of revisions.

Can you combine two units into one residence?

Yes. Combining units is one of the most common ways to get a house scale home in an Aventura tower, and it is as much an engineering and approval exercise as a design one. We coordinate the structural review, the association and permitting submissions, and the mechanical rework alongside the design itself, so the finished residence reads as one home that was always meant to be, not two apartments with a doorway between them.

How do you handle all the glass and light in a high rise?

Deliberately, because in a tower the view is the largest material in the room. Floor-to-ceiling glass brings strong east and west light that washes out weak palettes and punishes cheap finishes, so we specify stone, wood, and fabric that hold their depth through the day, plan drapery and shading into the architecture rather than tacking them on, and lay out rooms so furniture lives comfortably with the glare instead of fighting it.

Yes. Williams Island, Island Estates, and the neighborhoods around the Turnberry course carry house scale projects: full renovations, new construction interiors, and outdoor rooms, each with its own architectural review to plan around. It is the same discipline as our estate work in neighboring Golden Beach, where the studio designed a ground up residence from the driveway to the door hardware.

The studio's range runs from ground up new construction and full-home renovations to single room projects such as a kitchen, a bedroom, or a bathroom, plus custom furnishings, millwork, lighting design, material selection, procurement, and final styling, scaled to what each project actually needs.

Do you take on a single kitchen, bedroom, or bathroom?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it is a common way clients start with us. A kitchen in a tower is its own puzzle, because the venting and the risers cannot move and the plan has to be solved around them. A bedroom is usually a question of storage and light rather than square footage. A bathroom lives or dies on the stone, the fittings, and the lighting being chosen together instead of separately. Each one runs through the same process as a whole home project, scaled to the room.

What does it cost to hire an interior designer in Aventura?

It depends on scope, and we would rather be specific than vague. A kitchen or primary suite is a different investment than a combined unit renovation or new construction interiors, so we quote each engagement individually after a consultation. You receive a detailed fee proposal before design work starts, so there are no surprises at installation.

Furnishings-driven projects generally run four to eight months from concept to installed rooms. Renovations and new builds follow the construction calendar, usually 12 to 24 months, and work inside a tower can add time for association approval and elevator scheduling.
